The Richfield Chargers finished the Fall Session with an exclamation point as the Chargers surged past the Slinger Storm in a 12-1 slugfest. This victory topped off an unbeaten Fall Session, taking the Chargers to an 8-0 record.
The Chargers' balanced attack was led by Mackenzie Korsi who tallied two goals. The Chargers put it all together in a tour de force of unselfish ball movement, excellent midfield play and strong finishing from the forwards.
In typical Charger fashion, the defense was able to stifle the Storm offense until a late second half goal. In addition to the reliable goalkeeping of Kirsten Opichka and Brianna Hall, the Chargers got a boost from guest goalies Jordan Hottinger and Taylor Brazell.
Coach Hetzel and Coach Basis would both like to thank and congratulate our players for all of their teamwork, cameraderie, sportsmanship and determination. During the Fall Session, every Charger scored a goal! Special thanks also go out to the Charger parents who have been positive and enthusiastic supporters from the start!
