The Richfield Chargers continued their unbeaten streak with an exciting 4-1 victory over Beaver Dam YMCA of Dodge County. The Chargers scored first when Caroline Basis blasted a rocket past the Beaver Dam goalie from outside the penalty area. Beaver Dam tied things up early in the second half on a deflected shot that found its way into the nets.
The Chargers put the game away on two quick goals from Jordan Hottinger, one on a corner kick from Caroline Basis. Rachel Scaduto closed out the scoring with a long range goal that found the Beaver Dam goalie out of position.
Aside from the scorers the Chargers received excellent midfield and defensive play from Val Meisner and Justyce Hottinger. Breanne Rosewitz, Brittany Hetzell and Mackenzie Korsi all played well at forward. The Chargers stingy defense was anchored by excellent goalkeeping by Kirsten Opichka and Brianna Hall.
