The Richfield Chargers posted a 4-2 victory over a spirited Erin Rainbows team. The Chargers were led by two early goals from Caroline Basis. The first was a rocket from outside the penalty area and the second on a direct free kick. When not scoring goals Caroline effectively distributed the ball to her teammates.
The Chargers also received excellent midfield play from Valerie Meissner who tallied a goal from well outside the penalty area. Rachel Scaduto closed out the Chargers scoring with another bomb from mid-range.
The Chargers benefited solid defense from Justyce Hottinger, Valerie Meissner and Rachel Scaduto. The victory was secured by excellent goalkeeping from Kirsten Opichka and from part-time goalie Breanne Rosewitz. Both players made excellent saves to preserve another well-earned Chargers team victory.
